Once upon a time...

When Greetje & Luc, in the late 80's, were looking for clothing & knitting workshops for their company Tric to produce the designs from Greetje's creative hand, they ended up in the north of Portugal. Their first introduction to Portuguese culture & way of living. Even after the reconversion to workwear(www.tric.be) in 2003, there is still a collaboration with this Portuguese manufacturer.

Fast forward to 2007, when Greetje & Luc were again searching Portugal for their "place under the sun. They finally found it in the Algarve, the sunny south of Portugal, atop a hill near the charming village of Moncarapacho.

Over time, the love for Portugal doesn't go away, on the contrary. The long weekends become long weeks, the sun tanned colours are no longer temporary, and they start to speak Portuguese .. The desire to live in Portugal is real, and becomes concrete. At the end of 2015 they decide to turn a ruin, 50m from their holiday home, into a B&B, and start a new life under the Portuguese sun. In April 2016, B&B Casa Mama Mia is born! With an average score on Booking.com of 9.6/10, it's an instant hit(www.casamamamia.eu).

A certain virus from Wuhan is thwarting the start of the new season 2020. But when Greetje says, "If we can't let people come to Portugal, we'll just bring Portugal here, right?". Together with their son Pieter, they come up with the idea of bringing authentic Portuguese products to the European market in original gift packaging. Sun in a box ' is born, and launched from November 2020 onwards.

Entrepreneurship is in Pieter's blood as well. He also starts a high quality range of sports material made from Portuguese cork, with as first target group the world of yoga, fitness and pilates (www.pierresports.com).
